5) August 24th Minutes: Approved subject to amendment to Item 8a..that grounds and athletic fields budget line item approval of $1845 is for this year", not every year asin initial minutes.
6) Treasurer's Report Approved: Current Financial Position = $25,824. Pending changes to our position as reported at the August meeting are Oktoberfest expenses and receipts. Funding approvals were reviewed. Decision made to withdraw $2000 that had been earmarked for a tent that is no longer being considered. Motion was made and approved to withdraw the $1,000 earmarked for the athletic department to help upgrade the gym sound system. However, we will maintain this $1,000 reserve subject to a specific request from the A.D. Gym floormat has been purchased of which $2,000 is being covered by the Men's Club. We have not yet been invoiced for this.
7) Old Business
a) Oktoberfest This year's second annual event was a huge success as measured by paid attendance of 490, an increase of 215 over last year. Total receipts were $16,317: $7,345 (ticket sales)+ $711 (Hammer Slaughin) + $764 (Liquor & Wine) + $2,726 (Beer) + $3,210 (Bucket Raffle) + $1,560 (Silent Auction). Final figures to be reflected in next financial report, but based on expected expenses, net income should be $8,000. More work remains to reconcile expense sharing with Parish Picnic committee. Motion made and approved giving Pat O'Neill the authority to do whatever is right to allocate shared expenses between Oktoberfest and Picnic. Thank you's everybody that made this the success that it was…especially Gus Tinucci, Myke Breon, Bruce Soma, Paul Rebholz, Patrick TIinucci, Wayne Schiferl, Vince Cullen, last but not least, Pat O'Neill. Some lessons learned: Noise abatement provisions for the band; music schedule to comply with City Ordinances; publish schedule, in particular when food will be served.
b) Athletic Fields Update A.D asked for help assembling soccer goals they purchased. One of these has been completed with the second scheduled to be done 5:30 Monday evening, September 29th.
c) Club Membership After lots of discussion, we agreed to make our November meeting into a membership drive. This will be held at an offsite location and Paul Rebholz volunteered to coordinate.
