- Windshirt Update – Pending orders = Lejcher, Breon, new orders = Blatnik XXL, Tracey (2) XL, Brino XL.
- August 21 st SAW Golf Scramble Report – 40 signed up, 34 played. Food and refreshments were served at the home of Gus and Lisa TInucci. Prizes were available for everybody.
- Venezuelan Mission Celebration – call for bartenders to serve at this event on Sept 18 th. To date, 3 have signed up, 2 "maybe's"…we need to confirm a minimum of 6, preferably 8 to 10 to provide adequate coverage.
- Athletic Field Project Update – The new irrigation system is in. Thanks to significant contributions of equipment and services by Steve Pallas, a close friend of Jim Boerjan we expect to realize savings of between $6 and $9,000 with reference to our $25,000 budget. The installation of new ball fields is 90% complete.
- Men's Club Directory Update – The activity to validate and update member records and publish a directory for all members is in process. To date, 50 of 140 members have responded to the questionnaire. The question came up as to whether we would publish selected member information on our website. Decision was reached to stay on the plan for providing it only hardcopy due to security/privacy concerns.
- Oktoberfest Status – Preparations are well underway…tickets to all members and request for donation of one silent auction/raffle item donation from each member have been sent. We are asking each member to buy and or sell as many tickets as they can…request more tickets if needed and return what you can't use. Members not responded by Sept 10 th will be called as advance purchase and/or return of unused tickets is very important. A number of significant donations have come in…we still need more! We have the liquor permit…training for bartenders has been done. There will be a mailing to all parishioners within the next week.
- Youth Ministry – Pine Ridge Indian Reservation Mission Trip – Members of the mission team have asked to present their experiences and appreciation to the Men's Club for helping fund the trip at the September meeting.
- Prayer Breakfasts & Scripture Study Update – Based on feedback to the directory questionnaire as well as from other sources including the small faith sharing group that met during Lent, 15 members have expressed interest in participating in some form of spiritually based endeavor. Norb is in the process of preparing a list of options to meet diverse interests and schedules.
- Upcoming Events –
- Fall pancake breakfast – between now and next meeting, Ed Black will check with parish staff to set a date.

Mark, John and Gus TInucci are finalists in the Small Business category.
- "Unashamed Self-Promotion" – In keeping with our stated intent to have members share their own personal experiences and endeavors, Paul Rebholz announced his candidacy for an at large seat on the Woodbury City Council and asked members for their support.
