Meeting Minutes

Annual Golf Outing & Steak Fry

6:30 Wednesday, May 25, 2005

1)     Mike Baumann called meeting to order

2)     Opening prayer – Father Tom Walker

3)     Roll Call  - 40 members present – Officers present:  Baumann, Shiferl, Tennessen – New Member:  Tom Schisler

4)     Abbreviated Agenda:  Meeting Minutes and Treasurer's Report:  Deferred to June Meeting

a)      Thank You's: 

i)         To Mark Fritz, Steve Bovitz and entire work crew on the successful spring pancake breakfast

ii)       To workers at Sodfest I and Rockfest II…special thank's to Mike Bailey for providing skidsteer services and workers in completing baseball infield. 

iii)      From Joanne Whalen, executive director at Life Care Center East for $2000 pledge from the Men's Club.

iv)      From Youth Mission Team for Men's Club pledge of $1000 to help fund this year's July 2-8 mission trip to Benton Harbor, MI.

v)        To Gloria & Bruce Soma for hosting the steak fry.

vi)      To Mike Baumann for providing the wine.  

b)      Special Collection for Woodbury Christian Cupboard:  As a supplement to the Men's Club donation of $1000, the hat was passed to collect an additional $310 which included  $55 of diverted golf prize kitty (no prizes were awarded due to rainout).  

c)       Spirituality – Norb reported on plans for "Spirituality 101 for Men" seminar.  This will be on Sunday evening, October 9, from 6:30-8:00 PM.  Father Michael Byron will be the session leader.    

5)     Next Meeting 8:30 pm, Thursday June 29^th –  at the home of Barb & Mike Baumann
