a) Pancake Breakfast Report – 487 tickets were sold = $2,017 in receipts, Expenses were $1,048.64 for a net gain of $968.36. Thank you Mark Fritz and Steve Bovitz for your leadership coordinating this event and to all who worked in service to our community.

b) Golf Outing & Steak Fry – Due to a conflict with 8th grade graduation on Thursday, May 26th, suggestion was made to reschedule this to Wednesday, May 25th pending discussion with Father Tom.

c) Spirituality – Discussion led by Bruce Soma. Based on the readings from the Fifth Sunday of Easter and in light of Father Tom's homily…as "the chosen ones," what are we chosen for? This by no means suggests being "the elite". However, this might be the very context in which the Men's Club is perceived. What kind of impressions do we as Men's Club make on the overall faith community of Saint Ambrose of Woodbury? What would they say about us?

Pat O'Neill reminded us that the vision for the Men's Club at its inception was that to meet as men and give back to the community.

There is clearly a desire among a large number of active members for more faith-based activities and to increase the focus on spirituality for men. To this end, the existing prayer breakfast group (Mike D'Agostino, Bruce Soma, Norb Tennessen and Tom Kelly (Guardian Angels)) is in process of developing a program along these lines.

d) Funding Approvals – the following recommendations by the officers were presented and approved:

i) $1000 grant to support the Senior High Mission Trip to Benton Harbor Michigan July 2-8th .

ii) $2000 pledge to Life Care Center East Pregnancy Resource Center on White Bear Avenue. $1000 payable in 2005 and $1000 in 2006.
