Men's Club January 29th, 2004 Meeting Minutes

Saint Ambrose Men’s Club

8:30 p.m. January 29, 2004

Opening Prayer : Mike Baumann

Started promptly at 8pm 20 members present

New Members: Randy Mulligan

December 18th minutes approved

Treas report - refer to Jan financial.

O'Neill moved payment of last 2 commitments on financials. 2nd by Soma. Motion carried. Discussed need to make public announcement of what the men's club has paid for, perhaps for all of 2003. Further moved repayment to Norb watering system. Thanks Norb! A spirited discussion ensued about how to execute the funding guidelines, with recommendation the Executive committee prepare a summary with recommendations to full membership. That will be handled for future request. ECEC request was denied with additional info requested.

Old Business:

Cadillac Dinner: Tickets on Sale after Masses weekend of Feb 6,7,8. Need to sell tickets Norb handling silent auction. There was concern about size of the event and expectations after last years huge success. Also discussed Parish wide Dinner Dance in 18 months and whether or not we should be involved. No specific decision

Fundraising guidelines approved

Religious Education update: Norb is handling this. Details to follow.

Monument discussion regarding erecting something on corner of Bailey and 19

Pancake Breakfast: Pat Tinucci and Luke - dated TBD - March 7th or

April 18th

Lenten Fish Dinner: April 2nd Fellowship Hall - we need chairs.

Golf Tourney/Steak Fry: May meeting
